Celebrating culture and experience through art

I believe that the preservation of our culture can be done through art.

My parents have always told me the walls in our home had to be repainted often because I drew on them with crayons ceaselessly as a kid. They encouraged my talent in art by gifting me sketchbooks, colouring pencils and documenting my artworks. My love for architecture however was ignited the day I found my grandfather’s drawing room on the topmost floor of his home which he designed. Art has been my lifelong passion, it did not in any way get in the way of my studying Architecture up to master’s degree level. My paintings are inspired by traditions I have come to cherish, being Nigerian. Drawing inspiration from day-to-day activities and seemingly mundane things of life like interacting with Nigerians on a daily basis, road trips and watching villagers cycle as I travel by. I believe that the preservation of our culture can be done through art.

My projects are products of mixed media, working with acrylic, oil pastels, canvas, paper, newspapers, ink pens and virtually any material around me that I can put to good use. I explored with digital art over the years and decided to be serious about it in 2019. Since then I’ve created numerous pieces many people have to come love and connect with. I have also dived into NFTs.
